Emergency & Disaster Management Master’s Degree Information Session at Georgetown on January 15th

Georgetown University is hosting an information session about its one-year International Executive Master’s in Emergency & Disaster Management degree program on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at 7 p.m. at the Education City campus of Georgetown University in Qatar. The program provides working professionals the critical skills and industry knowledge needed to prepare for and respond to a wide variety of emergency and disaster situations across borders.

Through a unique blend of virtual learning and critical hands-on experience during five international residencies, students will learn from leading experts in the field and will be equipped to plan for and respond to natural, technological, and man-made disasters.

The program is led by Faculty Director & Professor of the Practice Tim Frazier, Ph.D., a leading expert on emergency preparedness and disaster response.

“Organizations require the capacity to prepare for and implement an emergency and disaster response that addresses a number of challenges,” says Frazier. “Graduates of the program gain a comprehensive understanding of the evolving field of emergency management and communication, critical thinking, and technical skills that position them for success in their organization.”

Alumni of the International Executive Master’s in Emergency & Disaster Management represent a wide range of fields, from first response, health, and human and social services, to military, planning, public policy, and government, and have included leading figures from Ooredoo, Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Defense, and the Ministry of Interior, among other prestigious organizations.

The January 15 information session at the Georgetown building’s Executive Program Suite will provide insights about the program’s on-site residencies around the world, curriculum, requirements, fees, career outlook, and more.
